FAQ

Answer

Anne Wood: I did not watch TV until I was 14 because nobody in our village could afford a TV set. Not that we noticed the lack - we used to make up our own games and, of course, went to Saturday morning cinema. Andrew Davenport: I was lucky enough to grow up with 'Andy Pandy', 'The Woodentops', 'Pogle's Wood', 'The Clangers', 'Blue Peter', 'The World About Us', 'Horizon' and 'Arena', as well as 'Morecambe and Wise' and 'Monty Python'. I had plenty of other interests but television has always been a rich source of information and inspiration. Not all programmes are necessarily good, or 'suitable', especially for young children. Viewing for children always has to be a matter of personal judgement and common sense on behalf of a parent.
