Yes, we do watch children watching Teletubbies and their reactions tell us a lot about the programme. We know it is working when the children watch carefully and respond eagerly. This tells us that they understand the story and will take their own meaning from it. If children are not stimulated by something on screen they simply walk away to play with something else!
