Answer
We chose bright modern colours to go with the technological world of the Teletubbies. The evidence is that young children prefer bright colours - and everything in Teletubbyland is bright, happy and energetic. It is also very important to give each Teletubby character their own colour so that they are easily recognised by a young child who is trying to follow the story.
